Ken Crowe
Ken taught history in the Southend comprehensive school before joining the staff of Southend Museums Service. Having studied for a Diploma in Archaeology and an MA in Local and Regional History, his main interests are in the archaeology and local history of the Southend area, and he curates those collections at Southend Museum.

He has undertaken extensive research on local history and has written several books for his Museum. He has had two books published by Sutton Publishing in the 'Britain in Old Photographs' series.
He has a special interest in the history of the day tripper from London in the late Victorian period. His hobbies include gardening and holidaying in France.
