This book traces the history of the Moonrocket ride from its inception in Germany in the mid-1930s to the present day. All rides which operated in the UK have detailed histories – the German imports, the 15 rides built by Lakins/Maxwells, and the sole example to be constructed by Orton & Spooner.

A limited edition of 500 copies has been produced to support the Fairground Heritage Trust’s appeal to bring the last surviving Moonrocket to Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre, where it is hoped can be seen and ridden again for many years to come.

Fully illustrated throughout in black & white and colour. Many previously unpublished photos. 84pp softback.
