'More Variety Days'
follows the success of 'Those Variety Days' with another
collection of vivid show business reminiscences and histories,
photographs and memorabilia.
Spanning two centuries, it starts
with early nineteenth century fairs and fit-ups and ends in the
1980s with television and cabaret. Ranging from Budapest to
Alaska, it features magicians, dancers, scriptwriters,
producers, theatre-proprietors, singers and comedians, and covers
music-hall, variety, revue, cine-variety, working-men’s clubs
and cruises.
