The Kursaal was the largest amusement park in the south of England throughout much of the 20th Century, and the destination for thousands of East Enders, and others, up to the 1960s. This book tells the story of the Kursaal, from its origins in the late 19th Century, to the closure of the park in the late 1970s, and of the buildings in the 1980s, and then to its re-opening at the very end of the last century. With 160 photographs - showing the Kursaal through the years - many of which are published here for the first time.

Condition: New book with damaged front cover, which is creased to top right (click image above for close-up of condition of cover).
