North Parade Amusement Park, Skegness

During the 40s and 50s this became a thriving park under the ownership of Billy Butlin. At one point it even had a Figure Eight along with a Ghost Train, Pet's Corner, Big Wheel and  roundabouts. In 1969 Butlin's decided to pull out of operating this park. By the time I visited the resort it was more of a children's park. There was a large six lane Astroglide, a set of Dodgems with fibreglass roundings and a Chairlift. The latter ride was built by Bennett's and travelled from the promenade end of the park towards the beach and back. It was the same design as the Chairlift that used to travel across the front of Southport's Pleasureland.
