Tuesday, 21 October 2008 The Save Dreamland Campaign and Margate Renewal Partnership are pleased to announce that their bid for a £30,000 government grant to fund feasibility work for the proposed Dreamland heritage Amusement Park has been successful. The funding will also assist with the plans to restore the Scenic Railway roller coaster. The news follows a series of meetings between the Save Dreamland Campaign, Margate Renewal Partnership and Dreamland owners, MTCRC, throughout 2008. Over £4.5m will be handed out to 12 seaside resorts as part of this wave of 'Sea Change' funding. The news was carried here at the BBC News website.
