of Joyland Books - the Internet's first and best
online bookstore specialising in amusement park,
fairground and circus books - offered to host
themagiceye I jumped at the chance.
themagiceye had started
out in 2000 as a small website celebrating Pleasure
Beach Blackpool and dark rides but eventually
it took on a life of its own and outgrew the space
and time I had available.
What had
become evident to me was that there were many
readers who were willing to share their knowledge,
expertise and wonderful memories of rides and
parks with thousands of others.
These rides and
parks are equally as important to the world's
heritage as they are to peoples' lives, particularly
now as I write with parks and rides disappearing at
an alarming rate.
It's thanks to Nick
for his hard work and vision with the relaunching
of themagiceye that these memories can now live on.
