Professor Vanessa Toulmin of the National
Fairground Archive presents the story of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The memorabilia book has been carefully produced in close
collaboration with Pleasure Beach and offers a unique insight into
the history of the park.
The 144 page book showcases many images from the park’s never before
seen archives, plus a whole host of recent pictures detailing the
various changes at Pleasure Beach. Chapters include the numerous
world renowned designers that have worked with Pleasure Beach
creating stunning art deco architecture throughout the park, the
many award winning shows and the development of roller coasters from
the early wooden designs right up to the modern steel looping
counterparts.
