Canobie Lake Park was opened in August 1902 by the Massachusetts
Northeastern trolley company. It provided New Englanders with a
shared recreational experience, regardless of age, ethnicity, or
social status. Since then, generations have played, met, danced, and
fallen in love at the park.
In Canobie Lake Park, Douglas W. Seed and Katherine Khalife
chronicle the fascinating history of this great New Hampshire
landmark. This diverse collection of early photographs and vintage
postcards illustrates the people, the events, and the everyday
scenes that have made Canobie Lake Park a favourite destination for
over a century. |
