Mark Wyatt's love affair with amusement
parks began one summer night in the late 1950s on the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey,
when his parents put him on a small fire engine ride. Throughout his childhood in
Southeastern Pennsylvania, Mark visited as many parks as he could. During his school years in the early 1970s, Mark frequently visited the
many amusement ride piers in Wildwood, New Jersey, and his local parks. From the late
1970s to the present, he has travelled throughout North America and Europe, riding
hundreds of roller coasters. Mark's articles and photographs have been featured in Amusement
Business, At The Park, Funworld, RollerCoaster!, and Amusement
Park Journal, and he has contributed material to Amusement Park Guidebook, Guide
to Ride, and The Amusement Park Guide. He has been interviewed on Good
Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, and CNN's Managing,
consulted on several roller coaster projects and met many of the leaders in th amusement
park industry.
In 1987, he created his own four-page monthly newsletter
about roller coasters and amusement parks called Inside Track. Today, he
continues to be the editor and publisher of that publication, which has grown into a
tabloid-size, colour newspaper.
Mark lives with his wife Melissa and daughter Christy in
Newark, Delaware. |
