A short history of two Irish
entertainers in Victorian times, who made Glasgow their home - one
an itinerant performer who made his living by juggling and conjuring
whom the Glasgow people took to their hearts; the other had an
accomplished dexterity with wire who made and sold chains and
puzzles as a living but through drink the Glasgow people lost any
respect they had for him.
This numbered, limited edition book is the
first in a series of books by Stuart McMillan, which looks at
Scottish entertainment of the Victorian era.
