This new

from the Fairground is dedicated to three of its original
contributors: John Hale, Arthur Spence and Jimmy Williams, all of
whom have passed away since the first book appeared. But their
voices, along with others, continue to be heard within these pages,
offering some fascinating insights into fairground lives and
livelihoods: such as the challenge of raising a family and ensuring
the children's education while travelling the fairgrounds, and
building up successful businesses making targets, selling brandy
snap or supplying "swag" to other showmen. There are many more
