George Speaight
tells the story of clowns and clowning through
the ages, from the primitive rituals of the
Ancient Greeks and the American Indians to the
fun makers of the present day. The superb
photographs of clowns in the book were specially
taken by three award winning photographers -
Malcolm Fielding, Rolph Gobits and Homer
Sykes-who travelled throughout the USA and
Europe to photograph their subjects.
