Very rare promotional
material issued to mark the release of the book Savage of King's
Lynn by David Braithwaite, all presented in a beautiful folder. The
front of the folder states:
"A collection which includes facsimile drawings, handbills and
photographs from the famous St Nicholas Ironworks at King's Lynn,
established 100 years ago by Frederick Savage, compiled and edited
by David Braithwaite."
The pack includes the following:
- Savage sticker with peelable
back.
- Postcard of Savage Bros "Sea
on Land" ride new in makers works, circa 1890, with handwritten
description on back in a stamp reading "The Showland Library".
- Postcard of Pat Collins
'Rolling Gondolas' built by Frederick Savage and Co.
- Photographs of Savage board
directors printed on standard white paper.
- Copy of 4-page handbill for
Goss & Savage's Improved Horse Hoe.
- Paper print of line drawing of
Horse Drawn Sail Reaper c.1850.
- Print of "Roundabouts: Savage
Brothers Ltd, St Nicholas Works, Kings Lynn, Eng".
- 4-page extract from Savages of
King's Lynn.
