Herbert Schmeck
(1890-1956) was an American roller coaster
designer. From 1923 to 1955, Schmeck designed 84
coasters for the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.
As a designer and president, the company became
the most prominent manufacturer of roller
coasters in the United States. With many colour
and black-and-white photographs, this book takes
you through his work from his time as an
apprentice to his Post war coasters.
