When the kids were back in school,
and New England's darker season set in, Lincoln Park locked its
gates and transformed into a slammin', jammin', boppin', rockin'
house of music and dance. From its beginnings in 1894, when it was
known as the Lincoln Park Casino, until it closed its doors in 1987,
the ballroom was a cradle for the hippest music of the day - from
jazz, swing and concert to rock, pop and disco - a place to see the
stars, watch sport, have a ball.
