Come in ! Come in ! Come and
discover the incredible adventure of the circus in Paris, the
leading world capital in the field with 19 stable circuses,
built, exploited and - with one exception - closed, between 1783
and today. Come cheer on the riders and trapeze artists, the
twinkling and ephemeral stars of a fascinating world. The circus
in Paris is a long and beautiful story that runs from Pont-Neuf
to the Palais Royal, from the Tuileries to the Daughters of
Calvary, from the Boulevard du Crime to the Champs-Elysées, from
the humble square to the most elegant walks. A story that mixes
acrobats and rapins, noble horsemen and seductive tamers, clowns
and clever jugglers! Come in! And you will see the strangest,
most seductive and most extravagant shows on Earth.
