The son of stage actors,
Pennsylvania-born Karl Brown was far more intrigued by the technical
aspects of show business; while still in his teens, he became a lab
assistant, then a still photographer. Brown turned director in the
mid 1920s. The classic feature film 'Under The big Top' is one of
his most celebrated directional ventures, in which his eye for
detail is evident. A2ZCDS brought this old Hollywood Classic feature
film to DVD in 2005.
