Very rare 1980 guide to Wookey
Hole Caves.
Includes a guide to Lady Bangor's
Fairground Collection. The collection was put together by Lady
Bangor between 1963 and 1973. Madame Tussaud's bought the
collection for Wookey Hole and fiirst showed it there in 1974,
since when it had become world famous. The guide includes
fantastic photographs of the collection, including Bioscope Front
and 'Gallopers from North America'. Also a guide to the Madame
Tussaud's Store Room. The photographs differ from the 1975 and
1977 Guide.
The booklet also includes a brief
guide to other attractions owned by Madame Tussaud's (in the days
before it became Tussaud's Group and its acquisition of Alton
Towers): Madame Tussaud's Exhibition; The London Planetarium;
Chessington Zoo; and Warwick Castle.
Condition: Very good. Some minor
creasing and wear to cover and small inscription on inside front
