DAY OF THE KNIGHTS: PART TWO

KNIGHTS' VALLEY

First up in this section was The Dragon Flyer. What can themagiceye say? What an oddity of a ride. (Please note that as at 2005 children under 1m must be accompanied by an adult). Built in 1987 this man/young lady driven 'steelie' (themagiceye is sure it's run on petrol) is a must ride before it ascends into heaven when its work on Earth is done. Two laps of the park perimeter is probably not worth a 25 min wait in some people's books but themagiceye repeats, it's a must ride if it and the park close. This fair isle will never see its like again that's for sure. The track undulates a bit and anyone wanting at least some bunny hops will be disappointed. But it delivers on uniqueness. Coaster? More like a monorail on speed and four star speed at that! The photo to the right does not do it justice.

Next up, Galleon. Hey, no park should be without one. Looking its age but nice. (Minimum height 1m to ride)

Kingdom in the Clouds sounds fantastic doesn't it? Judging by the queues it should have been. It's a mini ferris wheel, pictured right. Nice, but its name is bigger than the ride experience in all fairness.

The Jousting Arena hosts the magnificent jousting show (pictured right) and the equally enthralling Birds of Prey show. themagiceye's family was transfixed. Great skill, good comedy, nice thrills and wonderful horsemanship. All in all great family entertainment.
