The Grand National was built by Charlie Paige and opened in 1935.
The height of this twin-track racing roller coaster is 62 feet with speeds being reached of up to 50mph (depending on your sources).
The 'twin track' is actually 6,600 feet of one continuous piece of track (i.e. 2 x 3,300 feet). The
'Mobius' principle incorporated into the ride gives the added effect that the trains change lanes...
It's bumpy and very wild! (It's brilliant!)
