Reportedly built by Lot Morgan, The River
Caves were introduced into the park by (Helters?) in 1910. (A plaque on the side of the attraction states 1904).
There were originally 50 boats each taking
10 people.
The River Caves station was redesigned in
1937 by Mr. Joseph Emberton and today, The Old Mill (to give it its American name) takes passengers on a leisurely cruise
over 892 feet of waterway complete with water splash at the end!
The route's configuration remains the same
as it was when the ride first opened.
