Built in 1934 (possibly by Charlie Paige), this American Coasters Enthusiasts' classic ride was originally known as The Little Dipper.
It's a short 'out and back' but surprisingly offers its fair share of 'air time' for thrill seekers of all ages.
That said, most adults who ride tend to be thankful that the home leg offers nothing more than a straight run into the station as it can be a rough ride and leg room is of a premium!
Strangely, on the official Pleasure Beach website (2004) a picture supposedly of
the Zipper Dipper shows the train on track belonging to the Big Dipper!
The bigger dips on the left of the picture above belong to
the Roller Coaster.
The car track on the right is Thor's Turnpike and the building at the back belongs
to The Space Invader 2.
The Zipper Dipper ride enters and exits The Space Invader 2 as it begins the home run!
