Welcome to the western wonderment that
was known as Frontier Village.
Opened on October 21, 1961,
Frontier Village became a family fun, western wonderment of
entertainment that was filled with exciting rides such as the Lost
Dutchman, the Apache Whirlwind and the Tarantula.
It also had a dusty western town
where the marshal kept the peace until the rugged outlaws came into
town.
Frontier Village was located in the
humble town of San Jose, California, next to the Mary Hayes Mansion,
but the western park met its demise on September 28, 1980.
Relive the history of the park in
this DVD, as told by the people who ran it, including Ed Hutton, the
Weitzel brothers, Doug Hagdaul, Randy Mitchell, Bill Kelsey, and
many more.
