Toulmin is Assistant Director of the National Fairground Archive, and
former Wingate researcher at the University of Sheffield. Born at a
Morecambe amusement park, she comes from a Lancashire showland family,
and has completed a PhD researching the social history of travelling
showpeople. Her other publications include Hull
